Alex became interested in physical therapy while in high school after a soccer injury. She followed this passion to Loyola Marymount University graduating with a Bachelor of Science in Natural Science with an emphasis in Physical Therapy. After graduating, Alex worked as a physical therapy aide in an outpatient clinic before returning to school at the University of Southern California to earn her Doctorate of Physical Therapy degree. At USC, she gained a strong orthopedic background treating a wide variety of patients and diagnoses. Alex became a Certified APPI Matwork Pilates Instructor in 2018 and enjoys integrating Pilates exercises in her treatment plans. She especially enjoys working with pediatric patients with orthopedic conditions and athletes of all ages.
Passionate about helping others, Alex has been volunteering with Special Olympics Southern California for 7 years with the FUNfitness discipline for Healthy Athletes. She enjoys getting to work with these athletes and teaching them ways to improve their health. In her free time, Alex enjoys spending time with her family and friends, USC football, and traveling adventures.
