Graduate Degree: University of Southern California - Doctorate of Physical Therapy
Alyson became interested in healthcare as a young athlete and set her sights on a career in physical therapy. As a member of her high school's varsity cross-country, soccer and track teams she witnessed and endured a variety of injuries, which deepened her curiosity of physical rehabilitation. She began working towards her dream, pursuing a Bachelor of Science degree in Biological Sciences with an emphasis in Exercise Physiology and a minor in Psychology at Chapman University. After graduating cum laude from Chapman, Alyson attended the University of Southern California to earn her Doctorate of Physical Therapy degree. While at USC she gained experience with clinical internships in sports medicine, outpatient orthopedics and women’s health physical therapy.
Alyson joined the ProSport team in 2012 as a student intern at the Costa Mesa facility and rejoined the team following graduation in 2013. She has served many roles within the ProSport family and is currently the clinical director at our Rancho Palos Verdes location. She is a member of the Orthopedic and Sports sections of the American Physical Therapy Association. She believes in combining manual therapy and functional movement to help patients reach their goals and return to an active lifestyle. In her free time she enjoys spending time with her family, being outdoors, exercising in various forms and checking out new places to eat.
