Alyssa graduated from California State University, Monterey Bay in 2010 where she was captain of her Women’s Soccer team and received 2nd Team All-CCAA Award. Balancing her athletics with her academics, Alyssa also earned Cum Laude honors, as well as Distinction in her Exercise Science major upon graduation. After graduating, Alyssa returned home to Southern California where she readily accepted a job at ProSport - Newport Beach as a physical therapy aide and supervisor while applying to grad school. Alyssa’s love for physical therapy was inspired and grew everyday with her experience at ProSport. She was accepted into the doctoral program at California State University, Long Beach, where she participated in clinical rotations in a variety of fields including in-patient acute care, geriatrics, pediatrics, as well as completing her final rotation at ProSport - Laguna Hills. Prior to graduating, Alyssa and her research partner were selected to present their research abstract poster presentation at the 2016 APTA Combined Sectional Meeting in Anaheim, California titled “Asymmetrical Gait Training Using ‘Walk-Even’ in Chronic Stroke Patients- A Pilot Study.” She graduated in 2016 with her Doctor of Physical Therapy degree, where her career came full circle as she returned to ProSport as a licensed physical therapist.
Alyssa enjoys hot sunny days at the beach playing beach volleyball, playing soccer on her co-ed recreational teams and attending as many Anaheim Ducks hockey games as she can. Alyssa is highly motivated to achieve her maximum potential as a physical therapist and believes in helping her patients to achieve their maximum potential so they can thrive in their everyday life.
