    Kyle Molnar, Pitcher for Minor League Angels Organization, Works on Scapular Endurance Exercises

    Here Kyle Molnar, Angels minor league pitcher, is completing one of our scapular endurance exercises while in a single RDL static position. He is dropping and catching 2 pound weighted balls in a ‘T’ position to fire up the scapular retractors as well as challenge his balance, proprioception, glute and core strength. This is a great exercise for all overhead athletes, baseball, basketball, tennis, volleyball, etc. Kyle is making this look easy, even after finishing his 3 sets

    If you ask any member of Orange County Soccer Club (OCSC) what the key differentiator is in their care through the club or previous organizations, they’ll all say the same thing. They don’t have to go far for their on or off the field orthopedic care. “Everything is in one place, from speaking with one of the team doctors, to physical therapy to performance training,” shared OCSC defender and 10-year professional soccer veteran Kevin Alston. “I can chat with the team doctors

    #ChoosePT - NATIONAL PHYSICAL THERAPY MONTH

    The presence of pain is one of the most common reasons people seek health care. National surveys have found that chronic pain-defined as pain lasting longer than 3 months-affects approximately 100 million American adults and that the economic costs attributable to such pain approach $600 billion annually. Pain has been described in the medical literature as a "uniquely individual and subjective experience" and "among the most controversial and complex" medical conditions to m

    BACK PAIN? COULD IT BE A "SPONDY"?

    Spondylolysis and spondylolisthesis are common causes of low back pain in athletes. Spondylolysis is a stress fracture through a portion of the vertebra called the pars interarticularis. DID YOU KNOW THAT 60-70% OF PEOPLE WILL HAVE LOW BACK PAIN - DO YOU?

    What is it? 60 to 70% of people will have an episode of low back pain in their life. A high proportion of these people will experience chronic pain. An important component to recognize along with chronic pain is the cognitive processes that are involved with symptoms, pain, and outcomes. In fact, depression is commonly experienced with low back pain, and it can have a significant effect on the perception of pain and ability to function in everyday life. Those who demonstrate

    DO YOU HAVE LOW BACK PAIN? YOU MIGHT BE OUT OF ALIGNMENT

    What it is: A spinal condition in which one of the spinal vertebrae slips out of alignment. Depending on the amount of slippage, the vertebrae could compress a nerve, resulting in back pain. Typically, the vertebrae of the low back (lumbar) region are more affected. This is the most common cause of low back pain in teenagers. Different types of spondylolisthesis: Congenital: present at birth; bone deformation Isthmic: results from spondylolysis (fracture of the vertebrae);
