In 2013, Margarita earned her bachelor’s degree in Cognitive Science from the University of California at San Diego. After graduating with her Bachelor’s degree is when Margarita became interested in physical therapy when volunteering at the hospital. Margarita saw the value and impact Physical therapy can have on people’s lives.  Margarita followed her passion and began working as a physical therapy aide at an outpatient clinic. While applying to graduate school, Margarita became Certified Pilates Instructor in 2016 and has worked at a local Pilates studio and YMCA. Margarita attended University of St. Augustine for Health Sciences where she earned her Doctor of Physical Therapy degree.
While at USAHS, Margarita’s clinical experiences exposed her to working with a wide variety of orthopedic and musculoskeletal injured as well as many neurological injuries including post-stroke. During her clinical experience, Margarita also worked with athletes of all ages in rehabilitations, sports performance, and movement analysis. She has gained strong orthopedic background treating a variety of diagnoses and patients ranging from the ages of 3 months to 99 years of age.
In her free time, Margarita enjoys playing sports, hiking, spending time with friends and family, and traveling the world.
