Mike & Kitty Kourie - Our Son Joe's Story

"Our 15 year old son is a hockey player. He suffered what he described as a groin injury during a game in November 2011. Based on his explanation, we assumed that RICE treatment was needed. After three weeks of RICE he said the pain had not gone away. We then took him to an orthopedist and had a MRI done. The MRI came back negative but did show a little inflammation in the iliopsoas muscle area. We took him to a conventional therapist who did deep tissue massage. Our son said he was feeling a little better and tried resuming skating and actually played in a couple of games in late December. He was not 100% and probably re-aggravated the injury so it was back to the orthopedist.

He recommended therapy 2-3 times a week for 4-6 weeks and this time recommended your group. Once looking at your website and seeing the picture of you in the Ducks locker room after the Stanley Cup win, we thought, "we found the right group, these people know sports injuries, specifically hockey related injuries”.

After a few minutes of questioning and testing, you diagnosed the injury as a hip flexor not a groin pull. You and your staff, Adam, Lisa and a few others had Joe back on the ice and pain free in 3 weeks. We are so grateful for not only curing the injury, teaching Joe the importance of proper stretching but also in teaching us the importance of getting the right, professional therapy for an injured athlete sooner.

On behalf of our son Joe, we would like to thank you and your entire staff. Everyone and I mean everyone was professional, kind, helpful and accommodating. We have already recommended you to some of our friends who have kids in sports. We have described your group as, remarkable.

Although we hope we don't have to visit you too often, if Joe as much as hurts

his pinky, we'll be in pronto! LOL!
