Dr. Carlos A. Prietto, MD Joins ProSport Physical Therapy & Performance as Chief Medical Officer

Dr. Carlos A. Prietto, MD (Dr. Prietto), Orange County’s premier sports medicine orthopedic surgeon joins the ProSport Physical Therapy & Performance (ProSport) team, as chief medical officer. ProSport has been the leading outpatient rehabilitation facility providing healing results to Southern California since 1992. ProSport is the official partner of the Hoag Orthopedic Institute and operates four physical therapy and performance centers in Orange County and one in Los Angeles, with plans to expand to eight facilities by the end of 2020.

As chief medical officer, Dr. Prietto brings his 40 years of orthopedic surgery experience to the team to integrate the continuum of care for all patients young and old. He will work directly with orthopedic doctors to bridge the gap of pre-operative and post-operative rehabilitation to ensure better patient outcomes. “I am excited to be a part of the ProSport team and work with local area doctors to provide patients with optimal outcomes with comprehensive rehabilitation services for all,” said Dr. Prietto, chief medical officer at ProSport. “Physical therapy is an essential component of the continuum of care for orthopedic patients. My role is to help improve care coordination between the surgical experience and rehabilitation, so patients can return more quickly to sport, work and life.” “We are excited to have Dr. Prietto on the ProSport team. His knowledge and expertise in the area of musculoskeletal surgery will compliment our integrated rehabilitative care model from pre-surgery to post-surgery physical therapy and beyond,” said Joe Donohue, P.T., chief executive officer and founder of ProSport.

ProSport is the most trusted source for physical therapy in Southern California, currently operating in Costa Mesa, Foothill Ranch, Laguna Hills, Rancho Palos Verdes and Rancho Santa Margarita. ProSport’s proven physical therapy programs are customized to get people back to an active lifestyle, whether they are 9 or 95, a weekend warrior or professional athlete.
