Dr. Carlos A. Prietto, MD (Dr. Prietto), Orange County’s premier sports medicine orthopedic surgeon joins the ProSport Physical Therapy & Performance (ProSport) team, as chief medical officer. As chief medical officer, Dr. Prietto brings his 40 years of orthopedic surgery experience to the team to integrate the continuum of care for all patients young and old. He will work directly with orthopedic doctors to bridge the gap of pre-operative and post-operative rehabilitation to ensure better patient outcomes. “I am excited to be a part of the ProSport team and work with local area doctors to provide patients with optimal outcomes with comprehensive rehabilitation services for all,” said Dr. Prietto, chief medical officer at ProSport. “Physical therapy is an essential component of the continuum of care for orthopedic patients. My role is to help improve care coordination between the surgical experience and rehabilitation, so patients can return more quickly to sport, work and life.” “We are excited to have Dr. Prietto on the ProSport team. His knowledge and expertise in the area of musculoskeletal surgery will compliment our integrated rehabilitative care model from pre-surgery to post-surgery physical therapy and beyond,” said Joe Donohue, P.T., chief executive officer and founder of ProSport.
