Coach Camargo grew up playing baseball at a very young age and then in the 6th grade started to play basketball. He would go on to play at the varsity level for both baseball and basketball his last 3 years at Granite Hills High School in Porterville, CA.


Coach Camargo went on to attend Vanguard University where he received his Bachelor's degree in Kinesiology with an emphasis in Pre-Health and worked as Physical Therapy Aide at Progressive Physical Therapy and Rehab as well as worked as a personal trainer. In 2016, he completed his Master's degree at California State University, Fullerton in Kinesiology with an emphasis in Strength and Conditioning where he had the privilege to learn under Dr. Lee Brown and Dr. Andy Galpin. 


Coach Camargo spent time learning under Coach Isaac Salazar and Coach Will Otto at Cal State Fullerton, working with D1 collegiate athletes. Towards the beginning of Fall 2014, he began an internship at ProSport Sports Performance with Coach Chase Cameron and PJ Nestler - would then be hired on as a performance coach. His passion for coaching quickly led to his promotion, and is currently the Director of ProSport Performance. Coach Camargo has served as an adjunct professor at the university level, featured on podcasts, guest speaker at NSCA So Clinic & college classes, written articles for US News and Hoag Orthopedic. 


Coach Camargo has experience working with all types collegiate athletes, tactical athletes, MMA fighters, on top of athletes from the MLB and the NFL. He also has worked with athletes who are recovering from surgeries, getting them ready for returning to sport or normal life activities. He also serves as a strength coach and consultant with the Orange County Fire Academy. 


As a coach his main interest is optimally building and maintaining strength for all individuals. He's an advocate for understanding the "why" behind every action to produce best results. Outside of training, Coach Camargo is devoted to keep learning about the world of sports performance training with the goal to apply that knowledge and help others maximize their potential safely and effectively.
