While stretching "tight" hip flexors has become a common practice in our industry, strengthening the hip flexors and the muscles that can cause them to feel tight is often the smarter approach and one that results in improved sports performance. Stretching has a time where it has value, but often times over stretching and avoiding methods related to strength will not promote long term success. The training spectrum isn’t just a single point on a line, be mindful and versatile in the athletic performance training area.
