Ryan Sare - Sports Performance Coach
Hometown: West Covina, CA
Bachelor's Degree: California State University, Fullerton - Kinesiology
Coach Ryan graduated from California State university, Fullerton with a Bachelor’s of Science degree in Kinesiology with an emphasis in Strength and Conditioning. Upon graduating Ryan immediately went into the fitness industry starting at 24 Hour Fitness as a Personal Trainer for a year. After realizing he wanted to do more and challenge himself, Ryan looked into internships and jobs in the sports performance field, where he eventually found ProSport Physical Therapy and Performance and their internship program. Upon the completion of the internship, he fell in love with the atmosphere and the athletes that he worked with so with consistent hard work and dedication he became a full-time coach.
Growing up in Pasadena, California, Coach Ryan played every sport imaginable - from basketball to baseball, track and field, tennis, and everything in between through the end of high school. Falling in love with the weight room during his high school playing years and not being able to play in college is what drove Coach Ryan into the idea of training athletes as a career path. Being able to help athletes reach their potential and getting them bigger, faster, stronger is a strong interest and it also enables him to stay connected with what he loves the most – sports.
Ryan still participates in most sports he played in since he was young but his main interests lie with basketball, soccer, baseball, and volleyball. His philosophy is making a connection with the athlete, showing them that he cares for them and wants to get them to their maximum potential; thereby creating that buy-in with the athlete that creates the consistency and excitement of training.
